Knowledge is power, but knowledge is also subjective. In the absence of an understanding thereof, individuals, and in turn, whole communities, both within, and beyond the worlds of business and commerce, become vulnerable. From the surface, it can appear that many of the problems we now face are new unto humanity. But, dig deeper, and one finds that our forebears were confronted with many of the very same problems as are we. Education is the foremost means by which we may illuminate the many current, and possible future options at our disposal. More importantly still, it is education that equips us to comprehensively evaluate those options. Whereupon a woman is educated, her mental horizon broadens, such that she can see beyond that which is in her immediate surroundings, and no less so than the opinions of they as would willfully dictate her destiny.
